Description
"It was the acting and direction that were the stars of the evening. Monday night's performance oozed profesionalism. From the moment the five cast were onstage you knew instinctively that you were watching a group of actors who were comfortable with their art. Peter Gilchrist as Private John Brown, MM had a presence onstage befitting pf any West End actor and his role as the long serving "batman/oppo" to his Lieutenant Colonel was superbly handled with the right nuances and stature".

A part made famous by Henry Fonda would always be a challenge. Nevertheless, this production settled in very confidently. It was a great challenge playing an elderly, portly American. Reviews suggested that our interpretation worked well.

Alls Well that Ends Well

Director

Chiltern Shakespeare

Hall Barn

Description
A sizable role in one of Shakespeare's more complex plays. The part demanded a fascinating contrast between the ill and dying King, and the very much more rebust monarch dealing with a turbulent court and the unprecedented defiance of Bertram. A thoroughly convincing and well rounded performance.
